The Real Reason Women’s Shirts Button Differently from Men’s
What started as practicality became tradition. Wealthy women’s clothes were buttoned on the left so maids could dress them more easily, while men’s buttons were on the right for quick access. Over time, this difference turned into a lasting symbol rather than a necessity.
