The Strait of Hormuz is at the center of rising oil prices as tensions grow between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
Donald Trump warned NATO allies to help secure the route, saying there will be consequences if they don’t. After Iran restricted access and deployed naval threats, over 1,000 tankers have been disrupted, pushing oil to about $106 a barrel and raising U.S. gas prices.
Trump also urged China and other nations reliant on the strait to step in, criticizing NATO for not doing enough.
