THIBODAUX COUPLE ARRESTED AFTER DISTURBING ANIMAL ABUSE & CHILD CRUELTY INVESTIGATION

A Louisiana investigation has led to the arrest of two individuals facing multiple felony charges after authorities uncovered allegations involving animal abuse and child cruelty.
According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began in May 2026 after allegations that Phillip Babin (28) injured a juvenile during an incident at the home.
During a search of the residence shared by Babin and Hailey Mire (24), detectives reportedly discovered digital evidence and security footage that led to additional charges involving alleged abuse of the family dog.
Both suspects were arrested on June 17, 2026.
Phillip Babin faces:
• 36 counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal
• Second-Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile
• Bond set at $360,000
Hailey Mire faces:
• 47 counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal
• Obstruction of Justice
• Bond set at $520,000
Both remain in custody while authorities continue their investigation.
