The disappearance and death of 7-year-old Athena Strand in Texas in 2022 shocked communities across the United States. After she vanished from her father’s home in Wise County, a large search effort involving police and volunteers quickly began.
Authorities later confirmed Athena had been abducted and killed. Investigators identified Tanner Lynn Horner, a delivery driver connected to a contractor working with FedEx, as the suspect. According to officials, he had been making deliveries in the neighborhood on the day Athena disappeared.
