🇮🇷 Tensions rise in the Persian Gulf – Reports of attacks on U.S. bases

Iranian state television, citing military sources, says an operation targeting U.S. bases in the Gulf region has been launched. Initial reports claim strikes on military installations, while authorities in several countries have urged residents to remain indoors and avoid military zones.

According to Reuters, a large explosion was reported in Abu Dhabi, and the United Arab Emirates has temporarily closed its airspace. Reports also claim that Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE was targeted with ballistic missiles. In Manama, Bahrain, smoke was seen near the Al Jufair area, home to the U.S. Fifth Fleet base. Meanwhile, Qatar’s Interior Ministry urged residents to shelter in place after a Patriot missile system reportedly intercepted a missile aimed at Al Udeid Air Base, with the country also closing its airspace.
