Lawmakers Confirm Three Key Names in Newly Unredacted Epstein Documents

The Department of Justice says releasing the Epstein records is meant to increase transparency, and lawmakers reviewing newly unredacted files report that several previously hidden names are now visible within the material. The DOJ has been rolling out portions of its roughly 3.5 million pages tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation after congressional pressure for less-redacted access. Representative Thomas Massie argued earlier versions concealed names that may be relevant, while Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said certain redactions were legally required to protect victims but that non-victim names in the cited document have since been restored. Ghislaine Maxwell remains the only person convicted in the case and is serving a 20-year federal sentence, and updated FBI records now clearly identify individuals who were previously referenced without full disclosure.
