In today’s episode of SOTD (Shenanigans of the Day), former President Donald Trump reportedly deployed the U.S. Marines — or at least said he did — after a “major national emergency” struck: the McDonald’s ice cream machine was down again.
Eyewitnesses claim Trump was spotted outside a Florida McDonald’s, waving a flag and yelling, “We’re making sundaes great again!” as a group of confused Marines looked on, unsure if this was a drill, a TikTok challenge, or a campaign rally.
Pentagon officials refused to comment, saying only, “We cannot confirm or deny Operation Soft Serve.” Sources close to Trump say he’s also planning Operation Nugget Storm and Mission McRib as backup strategies.
Meanwhile, social media exploded. One user posted,
“Trump deploying Marines over ice cream is the most American thing I’ve ever heard.”
Another replied,
“At least someone’s finally doing something about it.”
Experts predict this will trend for 48 hours before being replaced by the next SOTD—probably involving Elon Musk and a flamethrower.
