Donald Trump names one country that could be targeted next

Tensions are rising after U.S. President Donald Trump said “Cuba is next” in a speech about recent foreign policy moves, a comment that has fueled concern about possible future action against the island nation. During remarks in Miami, Trump suggested Cuba’s government is weakening and hinted that Washington might increase pressure or involvement, though he offered no specific plan.

His administration has already tightened economic pressure on Cuba through sanctions and an effective blockade that disrupted oil supplies, contributing to severe energy shortages on the island. Amid that strain, Washington recently allowed a Russian oil tanker to deliver fuel to Cuba for humanitarian reasons, a decision officials said did not signal a change in overall policy.

Cuban leaders have pushed back, calling the island a sovereign nation and emphasizing ongoing diplomatic talks with the U.S. aimed at easing the crisis.
